1. Introduction
Last month was the second month of the project, of the Initiative, of the Venture. We moved into ‘Phase Ember’ and started to reach out and build the necessary infrastructure.
2. The Phase
Some of the important things of what happened or was done, are listed below:
- Be able to accept donations from over 100 countries.
- Created our own collection of statistics
- Made the message of ‘what Colish is about’ clearer
- Revamped front page so that it is more informative
- Added jobs, status section
- The structure of the ‘energy areas’ started to crystalize.

4. The Initiative
- Worked on the image - of what it is about.
- Stronger ‘marketing messages’ have been developed.

- Reachingg out to foundations, to linguists, experts.

- The concept of the Foundation became more concrete.

- Reaching out to people.
8. Venture
- Reaching out to investors.
9. SWOT
Strengths
Its ‘real’ long term mission is starting to show itself.
Weakness
Stakeholders might want to see ‘assets’ before joining:
- Linguistic community.
- Big names in the Alliance.
- Detailed product definitions i.e. Colish v1.
- Commitment from big names, ambassadors, national policy makers.
Support could be better:
- Manpower
- Financial
Opportunities
Lots of opportunities for Stakeholders:
- For investors.
- For experts.
Threats
- Too numerous to mention :-)
10. Outlook
The Initiative rolls into the second month of Ember, of getting the fire going.
Major topics are:
- Financing.
- Reaching out to hundreds of possible partners.
- Getting IT and processes online for forums, membership, mailing, sponsors, donations, etc.
